Description

Clinkscales Organ Studio is an earlier 19th-century building located on Abbey Street in Melrose. It is two storeys high and has four bays. The entrance is situated in the left centre bay, while the ground floor windows have been enlarged, and there is a modern shop front to the right. The ground floor is constructed of coursed squared rubble with polished dressings. The first floor is partially rendered, and the windows still feature their original 12-pane double sash glazing. The building has a cornice and blocking course, with straight skews and a harled rectangular coped stack on the north side. The roof is slated.
