Description
2 Clouds in Duns is a late 18th century house with later alterations. It is a two-storey and attic building with a symmetrical three-bay design, situated on sloping ground next to a lower two-storey, two-bay house that has been converted into garages.
The principal house (No 4) features a southeast elevation made of exposed rubble, with long and short rusticated ashlar quoins and concrete margins. At the center, there is a panelled door with a rectangular fanlight above it, flanked by windows. The outer bays have segmental-headed bipartite dormers with sidelights. The gable ends are blank and harl-pointed. The windows are 4-pane timber sash and case, and the house has ashlar coped skews and brick chimney stacks.
The garage house (No 2) is harled with concrete margins and contains a pair of garages at ground level with boarded and glazed doors, along with two windows above. It features 12-pane timber sash and case windows, concrete skews, and grey slate roofing.
A boarded door to the left of the house leads to a rubble boundary wall.
