Description
37 Castle Street in Duns is an early 19th century, 2-storey and attic, 3-bay terraced house that likely incorporates older materials. The building features pebble-dashed rubble sandstone with concrete margins. The entrance door is located at the center, and there is a long box-dormer to the right. The rear elevation includes a projecting flat-roofed extension and a platform that provides direct access to the upper floor, as the ground rises at the back. It has plate glass timber sash and case windows, early red brick chimney stacks, and is covered with grey slates.
