Description
89A Castlegate in Jedburgh is a terraced house built in the earlier to mid 19th century, with some later alterations. It is two stories high with an attic and features three bays, with harled walls and ashlar margins. The modern door is located at the center and has a letterbox fanlight above it, while there are timber oriel windows on the upper floor. To the left, there are single windows on each floor, and to the right, there is a bay with a panelled door and a rectangular fanlight, which connects to No 87, with a blank space above. The house has a pair of gabled timber dormers.
The oriel windows have timber plate glass sash and case designs, while the other windows are made of uPVC. The house features ashlar coped skews and a rendered stack, topped with grey slates.
