Description
89 Castlegate in Jedburgh is a terraced house built in the earlier to mid 19th century. It is a symmetrical, two-storey structure with three bays, constructed from squared and snecked cream sandstone, featuring very pale long and short ashlar dressings. The central doorway is corniced and includes a two-pane letterbox fanlight, although it has a modern door. There are also a pair of Velux rooflights.
The house has unfortunate four-pane timber tilt and swing windows. It features an ashlar skew and a brick stack, with a roof covered in grey slates. The front garden is enclosed by low coped rubble walls.
