Description
The former chapel on Willis Wynd in Duns dates from around 1825 and features a small, classically detailed design. It is constructed from cream stugged sandstone ashlar with polished dressings. The building has a gable end facing the street, topped with an open pediment that has a squared apex containing a framed date panel, possibly from 1825, situated above a round-headed window. This window is obscured at ground level by a later flat-roofed lobby that has been rendered and inserted between screen walls, featuring a round-headed doorway at the center and a window to the left. The sides of the chapel are made of blank rubble. The roof is covered with grey slates and has ashlar coped skews. The interior was not seen during a visit in 1993.
