Description
2 Langtongate in Duns is a late 18th century, refaced, end-of-terrace house that is symmetrical with two storeys and three bays. The building features raised concrete margins and has a regular arrangement of windows.
On the south elevation facing Langtongate, the house has a three-bay layout with stugged cement render that is lined to resemble ashlar. There is a glazed door in the center and a pair of Velux rooflights.
The east elevation, which faces Willis Wynd, has a two-bay design and is dry-dashed. It includes an enlarged landscape window on the right side at ground level. The rear elevation was not visible in 1993. The house has four-pane timber sash and case windows, a roof covered with grey slates, coped skews at the gable, and brick stacks at the apex.
