Description
West End House is a classical villa built around the 1830s, with later alterations. It is two stories high and has three bays. The front is made of coursed squared rubble with droved dressings, while the flanks are also constructed from coursed rubble. The ground floor was altered in the later 19th century to accommodate a shop, featuring a projecting shop front. On the first floor, there is a central window flanked by dummy side-lights, and above the central bay, there is a semi-circular blind window set in a pediment. The roof is piended and platformed, covered with slates, and the chimney stacks are grouped at the center. The entrance to the house is now located on the east side.
