Blacklands Lodge and gatepiers, 10 Donaldswood Road, Paisley

Blacklands Lodge and gatepiers, built around 1800, is a Gothic T-plan lodge located at 10 Donaldswood Road in Paisley. The building has one storey at the front and two storeys at the rear arm. It features harled walls with painted ashlar margins, including at the angles and base course. The east front has a pointed arch door flanked by pointed windows. There are two similar windows on the north side and one on the south, along with one flat-headed window. The rear arm includes one flat-headed window on the south side at ground floor level and the rest are pointed, featuring paired lights at the first floor that rise into the gablehead. The lodge has an eaves band and a deep dentilled cornice on all sides except the rear gable. The slate roof is piended to the front and has ashlar chimneystacks. The property is complemented by four painted ashlar gatepiers with chamfered corners and bracketed cornices.
