Description

T G Abercrombie, dated 1907. 2-storey and basement with Queen Anne detail L-plan block. Brick. 3-bay front with porch to right. Round-headed arch with "Brown and Polson Ltd" in relief above and segmental mutuled cornice over. Straight headed ground floor and round headed 1st floor windows set in recessed panels. Windows small paned to upper parts, 1 at ground floor altered. Continuous impost moulding to round arches at 1st floor which have keystones. Relief ornament in spandrels. String course over. Relief panel with griffins over centre bay, blind panels to sides. 7-bay return elevation to Braids Road, that at right blind. Rest detailed as front with alternate blind and relief panels in frieze. Wooden eaves cornice. 2 wallhead corniced brick stacks to east. Piended slate roof with corniced brick stack and square roof ventilator with pyramidal slate cap.
