Lodge, Croy, Shore Road, Shandon

This building is a Gothic lodge located on Shore Road in Shandon, dating from the earlier 19th century. It is a single-storey structure with an asymmetrical design, constructed from stugged, squared, and snecked sandstone, featuring ashlar margins and quoin strips.

The main elevation faces south and consists of two bays. To the right, there is an advanced canted bay with a window on each face, defined by pilaster strips at the corners and a moulded string course at the impost level. To the left, there is a door in the bay with a loose trefoil head.

The west elevation also has two bays, with an advanced canted bay on the outer right that mirrors the design of the bay on the south elevation. The left side features paired windows. There is a later flat-roofed addition at the rear of the building.

The lodge has uPVC plate glass and top-hopper windows, a grey-slate roof with lead flashings, and a tall, coped ridge stack with paired octagonal cans.
