Description
Drimnie Lodge, located at Rossie Priory, is an earlier 20th-century single-storey lodge with an irregular plan. The building features harled walls, ashlar cills, a green slate roof, and red brick stacks. It has timber sash and case windows, with multi-pane designs at the top, deep eaves, and a pyramidal, bell-cast roof that is half-piended at the projecting bay.
On the east elevation, there is a door leading to a semi-glazed integral angle porch on the left, a window to the right, and a 4-light canted window at the far right. The north elevation has a window to the left, an advanced bay to the right with a door obscured by a later timber porch, and a window to the left, with another window on the left return. The south elevation features a bipartite window and a single window to the left, along with a glazed integral porch to the right. The west elevation has a bipartite window.
The interior does not have any special features.
The lodge is accompanied by four pyramidal-capped, red sandstone ashlar gatepiers, two decorative wrought-iron main gates featuring a star and crescent moon motif, and two less ornate pedestrian gates. There are also red rubble ashlar-coped adjoining walls, which have been connected to rubble-coped policy walls.
