Description
HMP Castle Huntly Dovecot is a square plan pavilion type dovecote dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed from rubble masonry and is located a short distance to the northeast of the castle. The dovecot features a pointed arch entrance and a rat course between partially surviving corbelled angle turrets that incorporate flight holes. Currently, it is roofless. Inside, there are stone nesting boxes, which were observed in 2014.
