Description
This is a dovecote located approximately 20 meters southwest of Horsley Court, dating from the late 17th century. It is constructed of random rubble limestone and features a stone slate roof. The dovecote is square in shape with full gables on each face. There are five rows of pigeon holes with perches on each gable, each having an oval owl hole. On the west side, there is a doorway at the upper floor level, which has a timber lintel and is accessed by stone steps leading to a cantilevered landing slab. The roof structure has an extended collar and has mostly been restored in the 20th century. Attached outbuildings to the south are not considered to be of special interest.
