Description

1836, with later 19th century extension. 2-storey, 3-bay, L-plan, piend-roofed house. Harled with painted margins.

SW (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: symmetrical. Centre bay at ground with pilastered, corniced doorpiece, windows in flanking bays and regular fenestration to 1st floor.

NW (VICTORIA STREET) ELEVATION: window to outer right at each floor, advanced wing to left with door and adjacent window to right at ground and window to each floor on return to right, bipartite window to left at each floor and low service wing projecting at outer left.

4-pane and plate glass glazing patterns in timber sash and case windows. Grey slates. Shouldered and coped ashlar wallhead stacks with polygonal cans.

ANCILLARY BUILDING: single storey, L-plan, slate-roofed ancillary to NW.

BOUNDARY WALLS: pyramidally-coped, square-section gatepiers with coped rubble boundary walls.

INTERIOR: not seen 2002.
