37, 39, and 41 North Methven Street is a mid-19th century, three-storey and attic, four-bay symmetrical Classical tenement that features shops on the ground floor. As of 2009, the building is fire damaged and uninhabited. The structure is built of ashlar stone with raised, moulded architraves, while the rear is constructed of rubble. It has a cornice at the ground level, a band course, and an eaves cornice. The central doorway is topped with a semi-circular fanlight. There are two flat-roofed dormers and a circular stair tower at the rear, which is capped with a conical slate roof. The shop fronts have plain pilasters, and there are later timber fascias. The roof is covered with grey slates. Some frames of 12-pane timber sash and case windows remain on the upper storeys, while the ground floor openings are boarded up.
