19 Church Road, Stromness

19 Church Road in Stromness is an early 19th century single-storey cottage with an attic. It has a near square-plan and an asymmetrical crowstepped gable design. The cottage is built on ground that slopes to the east and is harled.

On the south elevation, there is a modern part-glazed door located in the right bay. To the left, there is a window with an attic window that breaks the eaves above. The north elevation features a blank wall with a single window positioned to the outer left at ground level. The west elevation has a blank crowstepped gabled wall.

The cottage has modern timber-framed windows with hopper top lights. The roof is made of Caithness slate and includes a stone ridge, a harled coped gablehead stack on the west side, a common ridge stack on the east side, and uPVC rainwater goods.

The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 1997.
