Description

Mid to later 19th century. Two-storey, two-bay near-symmetrical rectangular-plan house (number 61) to street, adjoining further rectangular-plan house and crowstepped gabled store at right angles to rear (number 63) forming L-plan; built on ground rising to west (rear). Harled; pointed random rubble to sides; harl-pointed crowstepped gable to rear (west). Painted margins to openings.

EAST (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: deep-set timber panelled door with small-pane fanlight at ground in bay to right of centre; window, set close, to right; window at first floor above. Window at each floor in bay to left of centre.

NORTH AND SOUTH (SIDE) ELEVATIONS: irregularly fenestrated. Gablehead stacks to outer left and right respectively.

WEST (REAR) ELEVATION: deep-set boarded door offset to right of centre; wide, gablehead stack above.

Predominantly four- and twelve-pane timber sash and case windows.; small, two-pane rooflights. Modern asbestos tiles to No 61; purple Welsh slate to rear; stone ridges; corniced rubble ridge and gablehead stacks; uPVC rainwater goods.
