Description

Mid to later 19th century with later alterations. 2-storey and attic, 3-bay rectangular-plan symmetrical town house with gable end to street, forming one side of alley to slipway, built on ground rising slightly to S. Harled with plain painted cement margins to openings.

N (PRINCIPAL) ELEVATION: modern timber panelled door at ground in bay to centre; window at 1st floor above. Window at each floor in bays flanking.

W (STREET) ELEVATION: 2-bay gabled wall. Window set low in each bay at ground. Window at 1st floor with window in gable shoulder above in bay to right. Gablehead stack above.

E ELEVATION: window at each floor in bay to right. Number 40 Alfred Street abutting wall in bay to left.

Modern tilt opening 4-pane timber windows. Grey slate; coped harled stacks to gableheads; plain cans; uPVC rainwater goods.

INTERIOR: not seen, 1997.
