Mansefield, Kildonan, Arran

Mansefield is a former Free Church Manse built in the earlier 19th century. It is a two-storey, rectangular-plan building with three bays, constructed from dark coursed rubble with cream ashlar dressings. The sides and stacks are harled, and it features a piended slate roof. The building has margined angles, a cill band at the first floor, an eaves course, and margined windows, including twelve 12-lying-pane sash and case windows, although some have been replaced with uPVC. The tall corniced end stacks add to its character.

The front elevation has a flat-roofed porch that is advanced at the center, featuring margined angles and a corniced parapet. It has a central boarded door with a multi-pane fanlight set back in an ashlar panel. There are windows to the left and right at the ground floor, three windows on the first floor, and two rooflights. To the right, there is a single-storey piend-roofed bay with a window and stack that is recessed. The interior has not been seen.
