Description
The Town Hall on Glasgow Street in Ardrossan is a building constructed with stugged pink masonry and white ashlar dressings. It features two battlemented bowed projections on the right and left sides. The central doorway, set in a shallow projection, is decorated in a Gothic style, while the round-headed windows are paired in the bows and have square dripmoulds. The building has one-storey battlemented flanking wings and a crow-stepped gabled addition on the extreme right. The chimneys are topped with ornamental "Tudor" pots. Additionally, there are battlemented gate piers that include Gothic panels. The building has seen additions on the left and right sides from the 1970s.
