Description
The Free Church in Barvas, Lewis, is a 19th century church with a tall, symmetrical, rectangular plan. At the front, there is a gabled, two-storey narrow center section, which is likely the vestry and session house. On either side of this center section are pairs of tall, square-headed, multi-paned windows, with doors positioned close to each gable. The walls, including the perimeter walls, are all covered in modern dry dash, and the church features slate roofs with fireclay vase finials over the main gables.
