Description
The Free Presbyterian Church in Tarbert, Harris, dates from the mid-19th century and has a box-type design. It features small-paned, flat-lintelled bipartite windows on both of its two-bay sides, with an entrance located in the north gable. Above the entrance is a Gothic window with intersecting tracery, and there is a belfry in the Gothic style at the apex. The exterior has modern dry-dash with painted ashlar details, and the slate roof includes a single modern rooflight on each side. In front of the church, there is a small enclosure with square gatepiers, which are also modern in appearance. The interior was not inspected during the 1989 resurvey.
