Seafield Arms Hotel, 84, 86 Mid Street, Keith

The Seafield Arms Hotel, located at 84 and 86 Mid Street in Keith, dates back to 1762. This symmetrical building is three stories high and has five bays, with some additional openings on the ground floor. The front facade features decorative detailing from the later 19th century, rendered to resemble ashlar, while the sides are finished with harl pointed rubble.

The central door is accompanied by an additional window immediately to the left and a further entrance at the right corbelled angle. The first and second floors have symmetrical window arrangements, with the outer windows positioned closer together and the second-floor windows being smaller than those on the first floor. The later 19th-century detailing includes raised and decorated margins on the ground and first floors, while the second-floor windows have simpler margins. The first and second-floor windows retain their original 12-pane glazing.

Additional architectural features include channelled angle pilaster strips, run-off dated skewputts, and coped end stacks. The building has a modern concrete tiled roof.

At the rear, a long two-storey wing extends, flanking the lane, with irregular fenestration facing the lane. This wing also has a coped end stack and a slate roof.
