Description
This building is a lodge located in Cooper Park, North College Street, Elgin, and it dates from 1851. It is a single-storey structure with a dormerless attic and features a two-bay gabled design, roughly in a T-plan shape. The exterior is made of coursed ashlar stone with polished ashlar dressings.
At the re-entrant angle, there is a gable porch that includes moulded architraves, a hoodmould, and the Seafield crest. The southwest side has a canted, crenellated bay window with mullions, while the southeast side features a triangular bay window. There are also some small Gothic windows present, and the glazing consists of multi-pane designs. Additional decorative elements include bargeboards, coped stacks, and a slate roof.
