Description
Pillars Lodge, located in Easter Ardross, was designed by Ross and Macbeth in 1898. This single-storey gate lodge is built in an L-plan shape and features a projecting gabled porch at the re-entrant angle. The structure is made of coursed rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. It has a round-headed keystoned doorway in the porch and canted bay windows on each gable, with a coat of arms positioned at the apex of the east gable. The windows have 2-pane glazing, and the lodge includes crowsteps, thistle finials, and a corniced ridge stack, all topped with a slate roof. There is a modern extension to the north of the building.
