Description
Easter Ardross is an L-plan house dating from the early 19th century, featuring an older south-facing section that is two storeys high and has three bays. There is a circa 1850 addition that is also two storeys and three bays, positioned at right angles to the east gable. The earlier section is constructed of squared rubble, while the later block is made of stugged rubble, with tooled ashlar dressings throughout.
The centre door of the earlier portion has been converted into a window, and the first-floor windows were raised in the mid-19th century. The house features 12-pane glazing. The east facade includes a projecting gabled centre porch, with corniced ground floor windows. The first-floor windows are raised through the eaves in gabletted dormers, and there is lying-pane glazing on the front and in the south gable, which has one blind window. The building has corniced end and ridge stacks, and a slate roof.
