Description
Newton Of Collessie is a double L-plan group featuring a later 18th century farmhouse connected to a large addition from the late 19th century, along with outbuildings to the north. The earlier block is two storeys high, constructed from rubble with ashlar dressings, and has a hipped slate roof. It features three windows with wide margins and original glazing. The later addition is also two storeys, made of whinstone rubble with ashlar dressings, and has three windows with paired lights on the sides and ashlar bays below, along with a single staircase window in the centre. There is a simple stone doorpiece located at the angle of the buildings. Attached to the north side is a single-storey L-shaped office range, which has hipped slate roofs, rubble walls, and metal bars on the windows.
