Description

Dalneich Bridge is a single span bridge, likely designed by Thomas Telford in the early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed pinned rubble, featuring dressed rubble coping along the parapet. The bridge has a contrasting red ashlar arch ring and stone footings, with shallow end buttresses. There have been some modern repairs to the parapet and coping on the north side. The approach to the south is steeply curved and includes high retaining walls.
