Description

Alness Bridge, designed by Thomas Telford, was built between 1811 and 1816. It features a single arch and is constructed from coursed rubble with ashlar dressings. The bridge has a chamfered ashlar single arch ring, two string courses, and an ashlar coped parapet. Additionally, there are shallow end buttresses.
