Description
Corrie Vanie in Aultvaich is a threshing barn and byre built around 1880, with the water wheel and lade likely added after 1906. The structure features large squared granite boulders and is located at the northwest of the range. It has two opposing central doors that are horizontally divided, along with flanking ventilator slits. The interior includes a compacted earth floor, a stable at the center, and a byre with trevisses located at the southeast. The roof is made of corrugated iron. The wheelhouse is vertically boarded and contains an overshot wood and iron water wheel situated in a pit, also topped with a corrugated iron roof.
