Description
Wellhouse Farm is a house dating from around 1800. It is a two-story building with a raised basement, presenting a symmetrical three-bay frontage, with the outer bays bowed upwards to their full height. The walls are harled, with contrasting painted tooled ashlar margins. A flight of steps, with decorative cast-iron railings, leads to the central door. A late 19th-century, bracketed, timber gabled canopy shelters the rectangular fanlight above the door, which itself is a nine-panel door with fielded panels. The outer bays on the ground and first floors feature tripartite windows, with the first-floor windows being shorter. The sashes have four and six panes of glazing. Tall, shaped end wallhead stacks rise from the piended slate roof. Inside, the entrance hall and ground-floor rooms feature moulded ceiling cornices. The statutory address is Well House Farm, by Beauly.
