Description
The Market Cross in High Street, Beauly, is a significant remnant of an earlier 14th century market cross. It features a weathered capital with a moulded base that is attached to a re-assembled square-plan shaft with rounded edges. This shaft stands on both original and modern plinths, and both the capital and shaft have undergone a number of repairs. The structure is made of sandstone, with repairs using resin, mortar, and concrete.
