Description

The Market Cross in Barrow Upon Humber is a medieval structure located in the market place. It is made of limestone ashlar and has a square plan. The cross features a weathered stump of a cross-shaft that sits on a square-section base, which is supported by a two-course plinth. The cross stands at an overall height of approximately 2.5 metres and is surrounded by a 20th-century concrete surround.
