Description

Wate Garth is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with later extensions and 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of brick, rendered at the front, and has a pantile roof. The layout consists of two rooms with a central entrance leading to the room on the left, along with a rear outshut and a kitchen extension to the left. The house is two storeys high and features two first-floor windows. It has a plinth and a 19th-century panelled door, which is flanked by 20th-century four-pane casements set under segmental arches. The first floor also has similar casements. The gutter is supported by wooden brackets, and there are end stacks. The gables show tumbled-in brickwork. Inside, the house has beamed ceilings. It is included for its group value.
