Description

This is an earlier 19th century house of two storeys and an attic, originally with three bays. A modern four-bay shop front now occupies the ground floor. The rear has a gabled return elevation with an entrance on Shore Street. The house is constructed of coursed, tooled red rubble with tooled ashlar dressings. The first-floor fenestration is symmetrical and linked by a cill band, and there are three piended dormers. Most windows have four panes of glass. It features broad panelled stacks and a slate roof. Beaufort House is part of a terrace that includes Matheson’s, Ardmor and Culloch House.
