Description
Gordonbush Lodge is a large, two-storey gabled shooting lodge built in 1871. It features grey rubble construction with tooled ashlar dressings. The entrance is concealed by a projecting gabled porch on the southeast elevation. On the southwest elevation, there is a wide canted bay window with mullion and transom fenestration. A polygonal turret rises above the wallhead at the south corner, which has a verandah at its base supported by rustic timber columns. The turret is topped with a steep facetted roof that includes a small gabled dormer and an apex ball finial. The windows are bipartites and tripartites with 2-pane glazing, and the building has coped ridge stacks and a slate roof.
