4/136 Gamekeeper's Tower II

Probably a shooting lodge, early C19th. Sandstone rubble. Square plan with projecting turret at west end of north wall. 3 storeys. Windows have plain reveals and 2-centred heads. East wall has windows on ground and 2nd floors. South wall has windows on ground and 1st floors. West wall has window on 2nd floor. East wall of turret has a narrow light with pointed head on the 1st and 2nd floor, with a similar opening in the north side on the ground floor. Tower has battlemented parapet. Against the west wall is a single-storey lean-to, now without a roof, with a window in its south wall with pointed head and plain reveals and a similar door in its north wall, now repaired with a concrete lintel.
