Description
Rose Cottage is a house dating from 1687, as indicated by the inscription on the lintel. It is constructed of rubble with a slate roof and features a two-unit central-entry plan with end stacks. The building stands two storeys high and has two bays. The windows are mullioned, rebated, and chamfered. The ground-floor windows, which were originally four lights, now have only one mullion each remaining, while the first-floor windows consist of three lights. The door has a moulded surround, and the chimney caps are modern. Inside, the left-hand room retains the remains of a shouldered fireplace, along with a blocked fire window in the front wall.
