Evangelical chapel, originally the chapel to Capernwray Hall. Mid C19th. Snecked sandstone rubble with slate roof. Church comprises a nave, a lower chancel and a tower over the south-west porch. The nave has 4 bays, with chamfered lancets. The chancel has 2 bays with chamfered lancets with hood moulds and stops and a moulded stone gutter on the north and south walls with 3 carved stone heads on each side.' The north chancel will has a chamfered doorway with hood mould. The east window of 3 lancets has a continuous hood mould. The west window is of 5 lights with geometric tracery. Gables have copings, kneelers and cross finials. The 5-stage tower has clasping buttresses, and lancets with hoods and floral stops: on the south side on the'ground floor and on 3 sides on the 1st floor. The west door has moulded imposts and a hood with stops. Bell openings are of triple cusped lancets within sunken panels. Pyramidal slate roof has a weather vane, and gargoyles to the gutters. Interior said to be sub-divided by the insertion of a 1st floor.
