The Hollies, 352 Albert Drive, Pollokshields, Glasgow

The Hollies is a villa built around 1880, located at 352 Albert Drive in Pollokshields, Glasgow. This symmetrical, two-storey building features three bays, with canted windows in the outer bays. The first-floor window jamb and mullion pilasters are positioned below the lintel level and support deep curved timber brackets, which in turn hold up the deep projecting eaves. The exterior is finished in polished ashlar and includes plate glass sashes. The central entrance is framed by a pilastered doorcase with distinctive detailing. The roof is piended and platformed, with subordinate roofs over the canted windows topped with iron finials. The property is enclosed by a low boundary wall and features corniced, painted ashlar square gatepiers.
