Auldhouse, 2 Auldhouse Court, Glasgow

Auldhouse is a 17th century L-plan house, likely dated by a fireplace lintel from 1631. In 1983, 18th and 19th century additions were removed, returning the house to its original size, although it was altered during its conversion into flats and roughly doubled in size by a further L-plan addition on the west gable. The building is constructed from rubble with chamfered ashlar margins, features crowstepped gables, and has slate roofs. It stands two storeys high with an attic and includes a square stair turret in the re-entrant angle. The south-facing facade has four regular bays that appear to be from the 17th century, and three of the four windows in the east gable also seem original, although the crowsteps above have been altered. Most other openings in the jamb look to be mainly from the 19th century, and the door is from the 20th century. The chimney stacks are not original.
