Description

Pollokshaws Parish Church, located at 223 Shawbridge Street in Glasgow, was built in 1843 as the Pollockshaws Original Secession Church and now serves as a parish church. The church features Georgian-style elevations and is two stories high with a three-bay west front. The entrance has a corniced doorway set in a shallow advanced section with a pedimented center, while the flanking sections are deeper, consisting of four bays instead of two. The exterior is made of cleaned snecked rubble with ashlar dressings, and it includes an entablature and a piended slate roof with a leaded platform and a single stack. At the rear (east), there is a low vestry or session house.
