Description
The Alexandra Park Gateways and Boundary Walls, built probably between 1866 and 1870, serve as the entrance to the park. The entrance features a triple gateway, with each gate flanked by corniced square piers. The central piers are adorned with decorative cast-iron lamp brackets. The low boundary wall is stepped to accommodate a shallow slope and includes terminal piers, one of which also retains a cast-iron lamp bracket. The structure is made of polished yellow ashlar, while the gates and railings have been replaced.
