Description
St Andrew's East Church Hall, located at 685 Alexandra Parade in Glasgow, was designed by James Salmon Junior and J Gaff Gillespie in 1899. This church hall features exceptional Art Nouveau work and is constructed from snecked ashlar with polished dressings and a red tile swept roof.
The building is a single-storey structure that faces the street. It has four leaded small-paned wide windows with two-centred arched heads, and the outer shallow bays break the eaves, with the left bay containing the entrance. The outer bays showcase outstanding Art Nouveau carving, including sculpture and inscriptions. Additionally, there is a leaded bellcote on the end gable.
