St Dennis' R C Primary School, 129 Roselea Drive, Glasgow

St Dennis' R C Primary School, built in 1883 by James Salmon and Son, is a board school featuring simplified Renaissance details. The building has identical opposing elevations and is two stories high. Both the north and south fronts are symmetrical, each adorned with pedimented outer gables. Large first-floor windows break through the tympana, and the three-bay center is open and arcaded at the ground level, leading to the entrance with steps flanked by iron lamps. The structure is made of ashlar with slated roofs. The flanks also feature mullioned and transomed windows, with a raised center that has a roof swept over. Surrounding the playground are walls with plain iron railings and tall gatepiers.
