Description
The Hall and Church Officer's House at Dennistoun United Free Church, located at 12 Whitehill Street in Glasgow, was built between 1869 and 1870 as a United Presbyterian church. It features a simple rectangular plan and is situated on a corner site. The church has a thin tower engaged at the center of the west gable facing Whitehill Street, topped with spiky pinnacles, a belfry, and shallow clock stages above the main slated roof, with the entrance located at the base of the tower. To the south, there are halls and the church officer's house. The building is constructed of ashlar stone and originally had diagonal buttresses that were likely pinnacled. The flanks of the church are adorned with tall lancet windows that have hood moulds. The property is enclosed by plain iron railings and features decorative ashlar gatepiers.
