The Kennels Cottage, Crawford Priory

The Kennels Cottage at Crawford Priory is a single-storey and attic cottage built in the later 19th century, originally serving as kennels. The structure is made of squared rubble with polished dressings and chamfered margins. The outer bays are broader and slightly advanced, while the roof sweeps over the inner linking bays, with a door located to the left. The left bay features a gabled design with a single window that has a coped lintel. The right bay is canted at the ground floor, corbelled to a square at the eaves, and includes a blind quatrefoil opening set diagonally in a square gable above. The cottage has deeply projecting eaves, corniced axial stacks, and roofs that are slated with diamond and fish-scale banding.
