Description

Forth Cottage is an 18th-century single-storey, three-bay cottage located in Sandilands, Limekilns. The exterior is harled with painted stone surrounds around the openings.

On the east elevation, there is a central replacement glazed door flanked by windows, with a small fixed light to the right of the door. The south elevation features a plain gable, where the raggles of a removed adjacent building are visible. The west elevation was not seen during the last inspection in 2000. The north elevation is attached to 1 Brucehaven Road.

The cottage has 2-pane timber sash and case windows, with openings that extend to the eaves level. The pitched roof is covered with modern pantiles, and there is a raised wallhead on the south gable with a brick apex chimney stack. The rear right-hand section of the roof is also raised. The interior was not seen during the last inspection in 2000.
