Description

Orchard View is an 18th century single-storey cottage with a rectangular plan. The exterior is rendered and features painted ashlar surrounds for the windows and door.

On the east elevation, there is an off-centre door with a single window on either side. A section of the building is set back to the far left, which includes a door and a window. The south elevation was not visible in 2001. The west elevation has four windows that are irregularly spaced. The north elevation has a plain gable wall.

The cottage has replacement windows and doors, and the pitched roof is covered with replacement double Roman tiles. There is a coped gable apex stack on the north side and a polygonal stack. The south section has a lower roofline and a ridge stack, which is likely the former apex stack of the south gable.

Inside, the cottage has been modernised.

Additionally, there is a low rubble garden wall with sloping shoulders that runs eastwards along the roadside.
